The writer uses simile 'blaze like a Christmas tree inside'. What does this suggest about Leonard Mead?
1. Inside = his lungs and the Christmas lights on a tree
2. Appearance/the way his lungs behaved when he breathed the air in
3. His lungs swelled up with oxygen with each intake of air and every time it takes in the cold air , he would breathe out warm air is as though the bulb from the Christmas tree would light up from the electricity.
Or his alveoli would take in oxygen and increase in size and he would breathe out the warm air. His alveoli would be similar to the Christmas lights being lighted up on the tree.
